Description |
Painting of Captain Fred F. Rogers, U.S. Navy, painter and date unknown. Rogers was an early U.S. Navy Japanese linguist and U.S. Naval Attaché who served in the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, from August 1933 until June 1936. The portrait was hung in the former Officers Club, now called the Weckerling Center, on the Presidio of Monterey for many decades. |
