Caption on reverse appears to be a newspaper clipping. It reads "Atomic Age GI. An officer at Fort Ord, Calif., displays latest equipment for the foot soldier at the Army's Combat Development Experimentation Center. It includes a transmitter and receiver in the helmet, body armor, 12 layers of nylon to protect against flak and fragments, a new 61/2-pound .222 caliber rifle, a radiation detector, and a gas mask that reduces effects of a nuclear flash." |
