The Edwin "Bud" S. Nakasone Digital Collection consists of photographs taken by or about Bud Nakasone's early life and family, his induction into the Army from Hawaii, his attendance at the Military Intelligence Service Language School (MISLS) both when it was located at Fort Snelling, Minnessota, and later at the Presidio of Monterey, California, and his service in US-occupied Japan. The photos date between ca. 1928-1947. Nakasone attended MISLS from 1946 until 1947, graduating with top honors from the Japanese language program. |
