Description |
Jerry Lewis, comedian, climbs into Jeep to speak to troops during his visit to Fort Ord, 965-1967. A crowd of officers and civilians can be seen but Lewis is most likely facing an assembled group of soldiers. Lewis is pictured on the left wearing an officer's cover. It is evident in this picture that the cover he is wearing belongs to the unknown Brigadier General that has accompanied Lewis during this visit. This image is part of the Roger Maitral Fort Ord Collection, a set of six volumes of official photographs made by Army photographer Maitral while serving at Fort Ord between 1965 and 1967. |
