Description |
This collection was donated by Barbara LaValle, a member of the Women's Army Corps, who attended DLI in 1976. The photographs capture LaValle's unit, WAC Company C, during formation behind their barracks, a path within the Presidio hailed by students as the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and a ceremony held at Soldier Field on the Presidio of Monterey to recognize the bicentennial of the United States on July 4, 1976, as well as miscellaneous photos. Caption: "This is a picture of a formation on Soldier's Field, which I think had something to do with the Bicentennial celebration. The units were from Fort Ord." |
