Portrait of Mrs. Seal, the next-door neighbor of the McGinnis'. A note on the reverse shares that she is the wife of a lieutenant and is originally from New Orleans. In this photo, Mrs. Seal is walking through the yard of what could be Everett D. McGinnis' office since the sign by the door has his name, rank, and indicates the building is for the medical department. Featured on a page from the scrapbook made by Betty Lou and Everett McGinnis that documents their time at Fort Ord in the early 1940s. The scrapbook spans the several years Everett McGinnis was stationed at Fort Ord, including Betty Lou's travel west to Fort Ord from Oran, Missouri, their wedding, and life in the area. |
