Army recruits train with 2.36in anti-tank bazookas during their basic training at Fort Ord, August 9, 1950. Caption on reverse reads "On the range at Fort Ord, Army recruits aim their 2.36 bazookas on a slow-moving target. It's all part of a six-week basic training course schedule for inductees and volunteers from all states west of the Mississippi. Every phase of modern infantry are taught during course, which replaces the 14-week training period. A later model of the bazooka shown in photo, the 3.5 is now in use in Korea." |
