Postcard featuring a man standing in a light tank on the training grounds at Fort Ord. A soldier in another tank can be seen behind him. On the back, there is a letter from a Fort Ord soldier to Mrs. M. E. Dallon, who is from Jefferson, North Carolina. It is postmarked on December 13. No year was postmarked but it is most likely between 1940-1945. The letter reads "Hello Jo, How are you getting along now. I am not doing well. We are drilling too much and I don't like Cal. Much as NC. Love, [Cliff?] Tell Bill hello." |
