The Martha Herzog Collection consists of papers, reports, biographical materials, awards and certificates, and personal memoribilia related to Dr. Herzog's career at the Defense Language Institute that was transferred to the Command History Office by the excutor of Herzog's estate plus additional records she transferred to the Command Historian in 2011. Dr. Herzog retired on June 3, 2005 as Vice Chancellor of the Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization. The most important records pertain to Herzog's involvement in issues related to the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale and other defense language testing programs.
