This box of the1986 Command History Collection contains information regarding Space Utilization at DLI, Special Forces Functional Program, Team Teaching, Team Teaching, Training, New System, Non-Resident Training, the Training Plan, and a video on the "Presentation to General Richardson at DLI" June 4, 1986.

The team teaching folder discusses the team teaching objective. It list the advantages to the students (integration of the PSI concept, closer to teachers, new experimental teaching techniques, etc), and the advantage to the teachers (develop new methodologies and materials, stable team, etc). It also gives the team structure overview and policy.

The Training, New System folder contains information regarding the FY86 SPIRIT initiatives for DLI, ARI field test results, interactive video (IAV) equipment, educational technology, automation of language training materials production, Army Performance Review and Standards (APROS) training management study, etc. Also included is the Language Testing Research selected papers form the 1986 colloquium.

The Non-Resident Training folder contains information regarding a blueprint for DLI support for non-resident foreign language training, fact sheet on contracting initiatives to free workyears, Gateway relocation, development of the job related maintenance material (JOREMA) project, Language skill change project (LSCP), etc.
