This box of the Information Systems Planning (ISP) Records includes materials regarding the Plan's implementation, strategic alignment, and priorities. Also included is the Information Mission Area (IMA) Modernization Plan and records of the Technology Coordination Council (TCC) Meeting. The 1990 Information Mission Area (IMA) Modernization Plan is an approach is mission needs from 1992 to 2007. The plan's objective is to incorporate the latest automation innovations into DLIFLC's foreign language learning process which supports the DFLP. The Plan depicts how we will transition from current automation structure to the target architecture. Computer assisted language learning and study and interactive video teletraining are the vehicles by which modernization of the DLIFLC instructional process will occur. The Information Systems Plan (ISP) phase one implementation study is the result of a study undertaken to develop a systematic approach to implementing the priority Information Needs established in the ISP study published in 1988. The Plan provides the Directorate of Information Management a road map of the major intersections of data currently used at DLI to supply the priority Information Needs. ISP prioritization meeting documents consist of information needs, specifically student data, an employee data base, evaluation of proficiency and performance, scheduling of students and assignments to sections and teaching teams, etc. The date range of these documents is 1988 to 1992. |
