The Annual Command History (ACH) Files are collected specifically for writing the annual command histories. The command history files have generally been filed into broad topical categories according to ACH chapter structure. This box of the Annual Command History (ACH) Files contains Chapter 1 records regarding the Army Language Committee Meetings, Army Language Master Plan (ALMP) Phase II, and the Defense Reserve Language Plan Proposal. The Army Language Committee documents contain information regarding technology architecture for language sustainment training, roles and responsibilities of the Army Language Proponent, impact of AR 611-6 on linguists, Army linguist recruitment, oral proficiency testing, requirements for normal color vision, etc. The Army Language Master Plan (ALMP) Phase II reviews and validates the Army-resourced linguist requirements found at Defense, National, Joint, and Special Operations Forces levels. It also describes the changes in linguist requirements as a result of Army transformation and modernization. |
