This box of the1986 Command History Collection contains ACH Guidelines, memos, Academic Review Quarterly, ADI's Directives (Combat Control Personnel), Annual Program Review, Biographies of DLI Command and Staff (including pictures), Chinese (Job Related Maintenance Tactical Operations), and Civilian Personnel Issues. The ACH Guidelines and memos discuss the preparation of organizational historical summaries. Details are given to guide the writing of organizational responsibilities, policies, and procedures, TRADOC supplies and Soldier Support Center (SCC). It also includes ATFL-MH (870), which requests permission for the DLI to submit a consolidated two-year Annual Historical Review (AHR) for 1986 and 1987 by Dr. McNaughton. His request was denied and it was stated that he could not combine years, but would make two separate Annual Command Histories. The ADI's Directives (Combat Control Personnel) folder discusses the DLIFLC target language immersion and GOSC request for DLI to implement a two phase language immersion plan. Also included in information regarding contracting initiatives to free workyears and a MAC request to design foreign language courses for combat control personnel. There is also a plan from GOSC which asks the DLI to develop plans to minimize lost time, and provide supervised make-up time in an academic setting when a student misses a significant portion of training. Details on hand-held recorders/playback systems, VHS, and MAC's request to design foreign language courses for combat control personnel. Civilian Personnel Issues include alternatives to the employment of full-time training, minutes of the Resource Advisory Subcommittee (RASC), symposium on Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), instructor recruitment for team teaching, and the upgrade of Ft Bragg's command language school (CLS) charter. Also included is the pamphlet "how to keep out of trouble", "civilian employee handbook", and "Civilian personnel management program evaluation". The date range for these documents is 1986-1988. |
