This box of the DLI Officers and Faculty Wives Club contains A Scrapbook documenting through Photographs and Newspaper Clippings the Activities of the Defense Language Institute Women's Club from 1964 - 1965. It lays out the names of the President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Board, and Committee Chairman of the Club for each year. Their activities include the continuation of the Woman's World Newsletter, Officer Elections, and a compilation of Social and Club Notes articles. Pictures of the Korean orphans receiving the clothing sent by the club with letters. A
Desert Contest, and a visit to the Carmel Junior High School's production of "The Emperor's Nightingale." Articles on their Cooking Classes along with recipes. Pictures of the Easter Egg Hunt, the 'Emerald Ball' Dance, International Luncheon, 'Back to School' Fashion Show, Christmas Luncheon, and the Thai Dance Demonstration. As well as information on wine tasting, hobby display and Christmas Card sales. The Artist Danny Farcia was a luncheon guest speaker and an 'Armchair Safari' event was sponsored by the Swahili Department. The Scrapbook also has extra photos and newspaper clippings.
