This box of the DLI Officers and Faculty Wives Club contains A Scrapbook documenting through Photographs and Newspaper Clipping the Activities of the Army Language School Women's Club from July 1956 - August 1958. It lays out the names of the President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Board, and Committee Chairman of the Club for each year. Their activities include supporting the Naomi Foundation Home For Widows and Children in Japan, "So You're Going Overseas," 'Art in Action', luncheons, and Christmas Tea, they hosted an Easter Hat Competition, created 'Woman's World' a newsletter for the Club, and celebrated the clubs 5th birthday and were entertained by the dancing school. They continued working on their yearly Christmas Card Sales and Christmas Party. During their April Luncheon the Club was visited by Mr. Takahiko Tetsuo Mikami (Director of Japanese Art Center, San Francisco).

L. Collins Jr.
