This box of the DLI Officers and Faculty Wives Club contains A Scrapbook documenting through Photographs and Newspaper Clippings the Activities of the Army Language School Women's Club from August 1962 - January 1963. It lays out the names of the President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Board, and Committee Chairman of the Club for each year. Their activities include the continuation of the Woman's World Newsletter, and a compilation of Social and Club Notes articles. A Luncheon visit from Jewelry designer Lyle Whittier, and cooking classes. They hosted International luncheons, International Tea, and the Christmas Tea Social. Inserted is an International Cooking Christmas Cookbook
The Scrapbook of the Army Language School Women's Club From March 1963 - October 1963. It contains photographs and newspaper clippings of the Clubs activities. It lays out the names of the President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Board, and Committee Chairman of the Club for each year. The Club's activities include the Woman's World Newsletter, and articles on Social and Club Notes. An article about a Coloring book authored by Mrs. William E. Grugin a student at the Army Language School. The Easter Social and Easter Egg Hunt. Pictures and Articles depict the Fashion Shows. and an Issue of, 'U.S. Lady', June 1963 was inserted which features the Monterey Peninsula. The Club enjoyed International Luncheons, a Wine Tasting Party, a mother/daughter social, classes in the Japanese art of 'Origama', and a Hawaiian luncheon. The Club was asked to donate clothes for Korean Orphans. Many more recipes are included and a copy of the Defense Language Institute (west coast) Women's Club Constitution is inserted.
