This box of the Plummer collection generally consists of correspondence relating to Army subject matter as well as orders relating to General Plummer's assignments. Associated units include the 10th and 35th Infantry Unit. Also included are documents relating to Plummer's assignment with the US Indian Service at Fort Defiance and his records while at the US Military Academy (West Point). Correspondence from the War Department dated November 30, 1918 notes the retirement notice of Brigadier General Plummer after 40 years of service.
There is much correspondence and documents regarding Plummer's station at Baliuag, Philipines. A Board of Officers was convened in on September 24, 1900 at Baliuag, Philipines, to determine and report the amount of rent to be paid to owners of buildings in Baliuag, occupied by the 35th infantry as officer's quarters, hospital, stables, & storehouses.
The date range of the documents is 1868 to 1918.
