This box of the Fort Ord VOLAR Records includes a review and evaluation of personnel policies, revisions to Army Training Programs for USATCs (U.S. Army Training Centers), monthly VOLAR correspondence and documentation, and after action reports.
Monthly VOLAR documentation consists of memos and correspondence related to requirements for college courses, data gathering, educational development, cost analysis, meetings, guidance, training, newspaper articles, training and morale, and general fact sheets.
After action reports on Project VOLAR aim to evaluate the effects on innovations on soldier morale, attitude and proficiency. Data consists of charts and graphs outlining trainee morale against MMI scores per year, starting with 1968, as well as other statistical charts. Conclusions are also included.
VOLAR back channel messages are correspondence regarding progress, success, challenges, issues, training, and implementation between the commanding general at Fort Ord and the commanding center of the 6th Army.
